The Bones Beneath my Skin ~ TJ KLUNE
If you are looking for a beautifully written story with simple- yet incredibly complex characters, a journey from grief to hope, and/or a reminder of some of the things that make being human a beautiful thing, then I would highly recommend this book. The Bones Beneath My Skin was captivating in every way- once I started it I couldn’t put it down. I spent the entirety of the train ride back from New York entirely engrossed. It's not a difficult read and even if sci-fi isn’t really your thing, it's very based in the real world- so though there are some sci-fi elements, it is still very real and moving.

Clash over charity
I strive to remain open-minded: there are legitimate economic and social questions about immigration policy, and not everyone who favors tighter borders does so out of malice. However, my upbringing instilled in me a responsibility to assist those who are marginalized or suffering, regardless of where they come from.
NYC: WEEKEND OF CONNECTION
I’m often reminded of a quote from Thomas Merton about the interconnectedness of humanity—that while we each live a unique experience, we are all undeniably connected. Something about being in NYC always makes this concept feel more tangible. The sheer number of people, cultures, and stories colliding in one place creates a kind of magic.
